I wanted to open a discussion about how to properly collect evidence if you’re dealing with an online extortionist. Too many people delete things out of fear — but that can hurt them later. Here’s what I’ve learned so far:
Take clear screenshots of all messages and threats (showing timestamps and usernames).
Save all emails and message logs — don’t delete anything.
If it’s happening on social media, copy profile links and make note of usernames in case they delete their accounts.

Use screen recording if possible — it can capture scrolling chats or voice/video threats that aren’t easy to screenshot.
Don’t just keep the evidence on your phone or computer — back it up somewhere safe, like a cloud folder or USB drive (in case the device is compromised).
