It may be tempting to blame the events of the last two years for the decline in trust, but corporate history is littered with bad actors, from Tyco to Theranos, conning those they purport to serve. Indeed, Gallup's State of the Global Workplace report research shows that 74% of employees worldwide believe corruption is widespread among businesses in their country.
