KSI vs Tommy Fury – the latest Misfits crossover boxing event – has the potential to be one of the breakout fights of the year. After years of insults, it's all to be settled over six three-minute rounds in the cruiserweight division at Manchester's AO Arena.

KSI has come a long way since starting his influencer life uploading FIFA videos to YouTube. The 30-year-old Londoner has dabbled in rapping, but it's as a crossover boxer that he is best known. The Nightmare is unbeaten, having defeated likes of Logan Paul and FaZe Temperrr, before his knockout win over Joe Fournier was changed to a no contest after an accidental elbow strike.

Fury, the younger brother of WBC world heavyweight champion Tyson, has been gunning for this fight for four years. The former Love Island winner has more grade and experience – and beat Jake Paul last time out in a split decision – but question marks remain over how much the 24-year-old really wants to be in the boxing game. His opponent has predicted the weight cut may a challenge for Fury, will he be drained come Saturday night?

KSI vs Tommy Fury fight card

There's a decent undercard before the KSI vs Fury main event, with Logan Paul vs Dillon Danis (a former UFC team-mate of Conor McGregor) set to definitively decide their not insignificant beef as the chief support. There's certainly plenty to get stuck into.

Logan Paul vs. Dillon Danis; Heavyweight

Salt Papi vs. Slim; For the Misfits middleweight title

Deen the Great vs. Walid Sharks; For the Misfits lightweight title

King Kenny vs. Anthony Taylor; For the Misfits light heavyweight title

Whindersson Nunes Batista vs. My Mate Nate; For the Misfits light heavyweight title

Nichlmao & Alex Wassabi vs. Luis Pineda & B Dave; For the Misfits tag team title

Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk have agreed to fight in Saudi Arabia in the first bout this century to unify all of the major heavyweight boxing titles.

Fury holds the WBC version of the heavyweight title and Usyk has the IBF, WBA and WBO belts. Fury’s British promoter Frank Warren announced the fight in a statement which did not give a date for the bout but said it will be held in the Saudi Arabian capital city of Riyadh.

Both fighters posted an image to social media Friday saying a deal for the fight between them was “SIGNED”.

“This is the biggest fight that could possibly be made in our sport. The heavyweights always spark the imagination of the fans, and I have no doubt this will be the biggest boxing event of the century,” Warren said in a statement.

The last fight to crown an undisputed heavyweight champion was in 1999, when Lennox Lewis beat Evander Holyfield. Lewis had to relinquish his WBA title the following year in a dispute over his next title defense.

Usyk (21-0) is coming off a defense against Daniel Dubois in Poland last month. The Ukrainian has beaten British opponents in all of his last four fights, including when he won his heavyweight titles off Anthony Joshua in 2021 and defended them in a rematch in Saudi Arabia the following year.

Usyk was previously the undisputed champion at cruiserweight in 2018 and 2019, the first to achieve that distinction in more than a decade.

Earlier talks for a Fury-Usyk fight fell apart in March, with Warren blaming a disagreement over terms for a rematch. Usyk had accepted Fury’s demand for a 70-30 split of earnings in the British fighter’s favor but his promoter Alex Krassyuk accused Fury of putting further obstacles in the way of a deal.

Instead, Fury arranged to fight ex-UFC champion Francis Ngannou in a non-title match in Saudi Arabia on Oct. 28. For Fury (33-0-1), that will be his first bout since beating fellow British fighter Derek Chisora in December.

While "crossover boxing" events featuring social media influencers have drawn plenty of criticism as they've increased in frequency over the past few years, that they draw loads of attention from the general public is beyond dispute. That will continue on Saturday, with a Misfits Boxing card headlined by the double main event of Tommy Fury vs. KSI and Logan Paul vs. Dillon Danis.

The fight had some tense moments during the week as the final press conference nearly derailed Paul vs. Danis. When the two were supposed to square off for photos, Paul threw a water bottle at Danis, who retaliated by thumping his microphone on Paul's head before the two were quickly separated. Paul appeared to suffer a cut in the fracas, but he assured fans on social media that the fight would still go on as planned.

Those two fights feature names that are known even outside the younger generation that closely follows social media accounts, but that same knowledge is not there for other fighters on the card. In reality, names like "My Mate Nate" and "Deen The Great" are likely headache-inducing for the traditional boxing audience.

KSI looks to pull off an upset against Tommy Fury tonight in a much-anticipated boxing showdown in Manchester.

‘The Nightmare’ had picked up a succession of wins heading into his most recent bout, against Joe Fournier in May, which he won on the night but has since seen ruled as a no contest following the use of an elbow.

Fury, meanwhile, is coming off a fairly unimpressive win against Jake Paul in February, but he has insisted he has learned lessons from that performance and will produce a more far ruthless performace tonight.

For ‘TNT’, the younger brother of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson, the risks are very similar. A defeat would be hugely embarrassing given his genuine boxing background, even if KSI’s awkward style will be something he will not have faced in his time as a professional.
